The national average price per gallon of diesel gasoline fell for the fourth consecutive week, according to data issued today by the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).
With a 2.0-cent decline, the national average came in at $3.514, following a 4.5-cent decline, to $3.534, for the week of April 21, a 6.0-cent decline, to $3.579, for the week of April 14, and a 4.7-cent decrease, to $3.639, for the week of April 7.
Those four weeks of declines were preceded by a 2.5-cent increase, to $3.592, for the week of March 31, and a 1.8-cent increase, for the week of March 24, to $3.567.
On an annual basis, the national average is down 43.3 cents. WTI Crude is currently trading at $60.71 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
